Irori Sushi in Vancouver

Amazing sashimi and the dragon roll was the best roll I've had in Vancouver.

Small but really cute. Staff is very nice and attentive. Food was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious-miso soup and nigiri in particular. Prices are average so it's affordable and delicious. The picture below is the Nigiri combo (~$30).

The food was pretty decent, their nigiri was good and their teriyaki donburi was tasty. However, we waited for more than 20 minutes for two glasses of water and 40 minutes for food.

Great quality food compared to the average sushi restaurant. The service is timely and friendly. The salmon was fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is comfortable albeit the space is a little small. Great for small groups or couples. The menu has a great variety of options and includes vegetarian dishes. Try the salmon and avocado roll!

Sashimi is very fresh. I recommend sunrise roll and rainbow roll.

The chicken katsu is a vibe.

A little bit pricey and long waiting time but the food is good.

I was surprised that it was nit as busy! This place is fantastic! My husband and I went here for dinner this evening and had a wonderful meal! The way they make their yam tempura rolls are absolutely amazing! Will definetly be back for more :)

Very fresh sushi in a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent. They were also following covid precautions diligently.

Food is average, it’s ok but nothing worth coming back for. It was also quite expensive and the service was slow. We had to ask for everything, repeatedly. Too bad.

The best sushi in the area, a beautiful, clean restaurant, and professional service. You can't go wrong here. Love this place :)

Food looks very nice. But taste so so.

The food is just amazing and the service is kind and professional. I picked this sushi place by coincidence, but then I enjoyed every bite of it. Not the cheapest one, but definitely worth it!

May not have to biggest selection of fresh sushi, but they have excellent service, and the fish is always fresh! John is a wonderful chef who cares about his restaurant, and never disappoints. I will continue to support his restaurant because I know that I am a valued customer.

Wonderful fresh food, reasonable price, lovely staff.

They refused to sell us a side of teriyaki with our order... owner was super rude and unwilling to talk to us! Then charged us $2 to add it to every roll. DO NOT ORDER HERE! Horrible horrible customer service and owner yelled at us from behind the counter that they do not sell sauce! It’s teriyaki sauce bud chill out and don’t talk to customers with such disrespect!

Authentic Japanese restaurant with very fresh sashimi, a wide variety of rolls (dynamite and spicy tuna my favorites), good udon soups, and attentive service. Good quality/price standard.

Top quality food, attentive staff and good prices. . Nice quiet ambience and my go to apot when I just want a low key nigjt with authentic quality Japanese food. The baked yam dish was excellent and highly recommended.

We came here at dinner time, were seated, and then waited 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, let alone bring us a menu. We ended up leaving and eating somewhere else.

Food quality, taste and presentation are really good. Servers are rushed , inattentive and have lousy if not rude serving practices

Love it, they save our order and always have it ready with in 30 minutes. Only complaint is that they don't allow you to buy a side of teriyaki sauce which I love with my yam tempura roll.

Delicious food and cozy environment :) Teriyaki chicken roll is very nice. One order of roll has 5 pieces, and if Irori could mark the size, it would be better

This is a very pleasant spot and I like it quite well. I’d say it is decidedly better than most sushi places in Kits. The decor and ambiance are a big factor; the fish itself is also quite good. Not all the dishes are perfect, but the shortcomings (e.g., salmon don with somewhat stingy portions) are small. Recommended!

Astmosphere good and quality average. I was expecting more quantity from the price, disappointed.

The Asari Miso soup with clams was great. Wish it had more clams but for $5+, it was reasonable. Also had deep fried pork gyozas and the dragon rolls. All amazing. Good service. My favourite thing about this place was its ambience. Came in during a quiet time so it was all chill vibes, could hear the calm music and fountain sounds. Read while I ate. You can also see your sushi being made. All round great experience.

Consistent quality and value year after year!

This place beats out all the competition great food good prices and nice service. A little busy which is good. Our new place to visit weekly. In Vancouver, however, if you are travelling to Whistler from Vancouver make sure to drop into Kalulu in Squamish. It's easy to get to the first gas station on your right after the nice modern bridge, just passed Shannon Falls, with the curved top truss. Turn right and follow the road to the shopping centre, it's there, basic tables and chairs but superb food the freshest ingredients pricing is very good also and you get real Japanese service and cooking. Today we were, at Irori Sushi, served by Minhye, who was extremely pleasant and served us with a very happy disposition. As usual the prices and good quality were great.

Delicious hot food. Even close to last orders, food are served with great quality.

It's alright, and a little pricy for what you get. Chinese run sushi shop with heavy emphasis on over saucing. Ebi tempura udon can in soup resulting in web soggy tempura, Katsu don was so drenched in sauce it caused salt burn...for a don it didn't come in a bowl (plated) and had very little rice... 😫
